My Sephora Package is Here!!!

A few days ago, I received a package of products that I ordered from http://www.sephora.com! I was so excited and could hardly wait to open it!

I ordered Kat Von D's True Romance Palette- Beethoven, used a limited promotion code to get a small sample of Kat Von D's new lipstick color, and as always, I got to choose three free samples!

The palette and lipstick can be seen on the top right, and the samples I received were: Ole Henriksen's Ultimate Lift Eye Gel, Benefit Cosmetics the POREfessional, and Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. I also got a little booklet containing several fragrance samples.

Colors from left to right: Lucifer, Speed Blue, Razor Gray, Tequila, Sinner, Rad Purple, Leather, and Galeano.

Above all else, I was so excited to open my new eyeshadow palette! The packaging was beautiful (like all of Kat Von D's products) and when I saw the colors, they were so bold and pigmented! I used this palette yesterday for the first time and I absolutely love it! ^-^

I was also excited to see the mini lipstick that I got for free! The color is called Celebutard and I think it is such a pretty color and I can't wait to try it out!!!

I just love getting packages!!!!! xD

My Sephora Makeover: Thoughts and a Review!

I was so excited when I received a card that offered me a free 45 minute makeover in my VIB welcome kit! I took advantage of it immediately and made an appointment at my local Sephora within days of receiving it. If you want to get a makeover at Sephora, you have to pay $50 or you must become a VIB and get a free one! ^-^

Before entering Sephora for my makeover, I kept on thinking about questions to ask and things to mention like how to find the perfect skincare routine, what is my skin type, how to draw in my brows better, etc... I actually ended up writing it all down after I sat down at the beauty station! :P

The makeup artist's name was Kelsey and she was so nice! She asked me about what I wanted out of the makeover and I told her that I wanted to learn about skincare so I can create a daily routine for myself. She told me that she would have a skincare specialist talk with me before my makeover so I can get all of my questions answered she then brought me a cup of water! Luckily for me, a skincare specialist named Michelle just came into work and it didn't take long before she came over!

From left to right: Treatment oil, cleansing oil, moisturizer, and a facial mask.

She began asking me what I do for my skincare routine...I told her that I never had one or even gave it a thought. She was so nice about it! She started telling me about routines, how to look for natural ingredients in products, and how I can find one that works the best for me. After a few minutes of talking, she told me that she would get some products to try on me and she immediately brought over a skincare system called Nude.

Peter Thomas Roth's FIRMx Peeling Gel

We started with the cleansing oil, and then after washing that off she talked to me about exfoliation and how important it was. She explained the difference between beaded and enzyme exfoliants. She ended up using Peter Thomas Roth's FIRMx Peeling Gel Exfoliant. It was amazing! It literally makes the dead skin on your face to fall right off and my face felt so soft afterwards! After using the exfoliant, we moved onto the Nude Treatment Oil and the Nude Radiant Day Moisturizer and my skin looked and felt amazing!

Next, she mixed Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream and Clarins Day Screen Tint and used a makeup sponge to blend it onto my face. It was odorless, and blended so easily on my skin.

After this point, Kelsey, the makeup artist, came back and proceeded to ask me about what "look" I was going for. I told her that it didn't really matter, but also that I love Kat Von D's line and requested that she used some of her products. She quickly left and gathered everything that she wanted to use and came back with:
Kat Von D's Saint Palette
Kat Von D Sin-Full Mascara
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Brunette
Kat Von D's Everlasting Bronzer in Shady Business 1
Kat Von D's Everlasting Blush in Por Vida
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Train Bleau
NARS Lipstick in Moulin Rouge (?)
Benefit Cosmetics Fake-Up Concealer in Light 01
She used all of the above products and I was so happy with the result! She was so nice and helpful when I asked all of my questions.

Before and After! (A few hours after...)

Overall, I would give my makeover experience at Sephora a 10/10!!! Kelsey and Michelle were so helpful and nice and make me feel comfortable. Going into this, I had a lot of questions about skincare and they were all answered! I even left the store with Kat Von D's Everlasting Bronzer and Benefit Cosmetics's Fake-Up Concealer!!! ^-^

If you don't know what being a VIB is all about, you can check out my previous post about Sephora's Beauty Insider program here.

Makeup: The Transformation

I wanted to make a quick post about how amazing makeup is and how it can really change how you look and feel about yourself. I have always believed and still do that less is more when it comes to makeup, and with that belief in mind, it helps me to create and have fun with my makeup.

Overtime, I have learned to accept my imperfections and work with what I used to see as "ugly" or just "not right." Makeup has turned into a hobby for me and it has given me more confidence, not only  because it hides my imperfections, but because it gives me an outlet to create something and feel beautiful! ^-^

Sephora Beauty Insider Program!

I wanted to dedicate a post to Sephora's Beauty Insider program. I have been a part of the program ever since my first Sephora purchase in March of this year.

The Beauty Insider program is a loyalty programs where you can reap many benefits such as limited edition products, special events, and more!

Above is what the Beauty Insider card looks like!

Some other really nifty perks include a complimentary birthday gift (above), and getting a beauty point for every dollar that you spend at Sephora! You can then choose to save or use those points to get samples of some amazing products!

Above are the only two products that I have spent my beauty points on. They were both worth 100 points and they are both great products! I especially love the primer and am probably buying the full size version soon! I think that this program is great because it gives you the opportunity to try expensive products without spending the money. Simply awesome!!!

Another cool thing about Sephora's Beauty Insider program is that you can become a VIB or Very Important Beauty Insider. In order to achieve VIB status, you have to be a part of the Beauty Insider program and spend $350 within one year and you will automatically become one! You have to spend that same amount each year to stay in the program.

I was so excited when my VIB welcome kit came in the mail!!! It came with three cards that consisted of: a free 45 minute makeover (worth $50), free online shipping, and 10% off! I already used my 10% off card and had may free makeover! I will make a post about my experience soon! ^-^

My Kat Von D Palettes!

I'm sure that you have already noticed that I love Kat Von D's makeup line and aim to buy pretty much everything from it! Well, I wanted to make a quick post about the two of the True Romance palettes that I own: Sinner and Ludwig!

First I will talk about the Sinner palette.

I absolutely love how Kat Von D's products look! Even the boxes look so aesthetically pleasing! With that said, I wanted to mention that this palette contains eight very pigmented eyeshadows that are mostly in the grey and purple family. From left to right, the colors are called: Disco Dust, Linzy-Jane, Ace of Spades, Violator, Holy Bible, Glock, Dorian Gray, and Lucifer. It also came with a mini version of her Autograph Eyeliner Pencil in black.

The colors in this palette are very vivid! I love it because you can apply them as they are in order to get a more bold look or you can easily blend them in order to get a more daytime oriented look.

The other Kat Von D palette that I own is the Ludwig palette.

The above picture shows the way that the palette was packaged all the way down to displaying the colors within the palette. I love this palette because it contains colors that can easily create a beautiful natural day time look! The colors from left to right: Lucifer, Orbi, Dimebag, Tequila, Clay, Downtown, Baroque, and Leather.

I think this palette is perfect for brown eyes because the colors (especially the greens) can really accentuate them!

It's always fun to play around with palettes like these to create the look that is best for you. Both of these palettes are very versatile and virtually any look can be created with them. They are so pigmented, you hardly have to touch them to get the color off of the palette so these will last you a very long time.

I actually just ordered Kat Von D's Beethoven palette a few minutes ago and I can't wait to make a post about it! Stay tuned!!! ^-^

My Past Looks of the Day!

Although I have just started my beauty blog, I have been experimenting with makeup and buying from Sephora since March of this year. Since then, I have posted on both Facebook and Instagram something that I like to call the "Look of the Day." In my Look of the Day, I focus mainly on eyeshadow because at this point, that's the only thing that I change about my makeup on a daily basis and I like to try new looks.

Here are some past ones that I wanted to share on my blog! I always try to mention what colors I used!

For the above look, I used Kat Von D's sinner palette. Colors used: Disco Dust, Linzy-Jane, and Ace of Spades!

For this next look I used Kat Von D's Ludwig palette. Colors used: Orbi, Dimebag, and a little Tequila.

For this look I used Kat Von D's Ludwig palette. Colors used: Leather, Baroque, Downtown, and Tequila.

For this look, I used Kat Von D's Ludwig palette (again). Colors used: Orbi, Dimebag, and Tequila! This time I tried to go all the up to my brows to try a different, more bold look.

For this next look, I used Kat Von D's sinner palette. Colors used: I forgot to post them, but it's okay because it was my birthday! :P

For this look, I used Kat Von D's sinner palette. Colors used: Glock, Holy Bible, and Disco Dust!

For this look I used Kat Von D's Ludwig palette. Colors used: Leather, Baroque, Downtown, Clay, and some Tequila! This was actually today's look and also the first time I have ever tried a tinted moisturizer! :)

Okay! Well, those were my past Looks of the Day that I wanted to share on my blog! Now that I am all caught up, I can post all of my future looks in separate posts! Yay! ^-^
